Arlo throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on St pierre's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Arlo dives in looking to finish as St pierre flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Arlo's strikes! Arlo is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! St pierre's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but St pierre was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

George St pierre was interviewed post fight and said 'i dont now people how much i got left in me to fight! in my opinion im under paid. ive been hold belt and fight for belts but my payment is very low, maybe if i get a pay raise i keep fighting.'.
