Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jerrell Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian LaVarr!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LaVarr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Young tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. LaVarr is in Young's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
LaVarr postures up.
Young can't keep his opponent in guard - LaVarr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Young trying to control but LaVarr postures up.
LaVarr is keen to just control but Young is a slippery customer.
LaVarr landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
LaVarr trying to control the pace.
LaVarr wants to stand up but Young is controlling the position.
Young really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

LaVarr seems to be working for a kimura but Young defends the submission attempt.
Young wants to get back to his feet.
Young trying to control but LaVarr postures up.
Young wants to improve his position but LaVarr is controlling well.
LaVarr missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
LaVarr misses with a head shot. Young uses the momentum to regain guard.
Young will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Young controls LaVarr momentarily but LaVarr frees himself.
LaVarr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
LaVarr working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

LaVarr looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
LaVarr lands a few punches from side control.
LaVarr cracks Young with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Young wants to control but LaVarr postures up.
LaVarr sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Young is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
LaVarr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
LaVarr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Young keeps working.
Young on the wrong end of some ground and pound.


Young is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
LaVarr scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Young is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and LaVarr can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julian LaVarr!
