Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yuuga Ikeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ikeda tries for a takedown but Alexander sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Alexander looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ikeda ducks under a wild hook from Alexander.
Alexander looks winded!
Nice takedown defense from Alexander. No joy for Ikeda on that attempt.
Ikeda looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Alexander!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ikeda works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Alexander defending against the ground and pound.
Ikeda stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ikeda cracks Alexander with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ikeda closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ikeda lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Ikeda lands a nice forearm strike.
Ikeda stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ikeda throws a one two combo.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ikeda is looking to clinch but Alexander is avoiding it.
Ikeda shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alexander is trying to defend but Ikeda finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ikeda moves into full mount! Alexander won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ikeda has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Alexander's face.
Alexander is rocked!
Ikeda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Ikeda! Alexander is hurt baaadly! Ikeda is firing away with more strikes - Alexander is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuuga Ikeda!
