Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lahey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Beastly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Lahey looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beastly circles away from the clinch attempt.
A punch combination from Lahey misses. Lahey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Beastly swivels and escapes. Lahey shoots in and drives through. Beastly sprawls well. Lahey is breathing heavily. Beastly fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jim Lahey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beastly misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lahey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Lahey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beastly looks to land a left hand but Lahey moved out of range nicely. Lahey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lahey shoots for a double leg takedown but Beastly sprawls well. He's pushed Lahey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Beastly fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beastly lands a big shot that drops Lahey! Can he finish him?

It looks like Jim Lahey has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beastly decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Beastly lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Lahey is looking to close the distance but Beastly sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Lahey crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Lahey is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
