Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Orkan Dogu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuro Kazuhiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Orkan Dogu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsuro Kazuhiro!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazuhiro moves out of range as Dogu strikes.
Kazuhiro smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
We've been informed that Kazuhiro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kazuhiro misses with a looping left.
Katsuro Kazuhiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kazuhiro.
Dogu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kazuhiro throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dogu's head.
A bone on bone clash there as Dogu blocks the leg kick.
Kazuhiro fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dogu on the side of the head.
Kazuhiro moves in looking to clinch but Dogu pushes him off.
Dogu throws a body punch but Kazuhiro moves out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Dogu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kazuhiro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dogu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dogu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kazuhiro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dogu defends it easily.
Dogu lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kazuhiro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dogu is working Kazuhiro over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kazuhiro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dogu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kazuhiro wants to sweep here but Dogu controlling him for the moment.
Dogu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dogu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Orkan Dogu will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dogu is nestled in close to Kazuhiro, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dogu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kazuhiro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dogu has managed to get both his arms back between Kazuhiro's legs - danger averted.
Kazuhiro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
