The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanada swinging wildly here.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Morimoto throws a body punch but Sanada moves out of range.
Sanada lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Morimoto fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sanada sprawls well initially but Morimoto persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Morimoto stalling.
Morimoto wants to stand but Sanada has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Morimoto decides to stand and escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanada staying out of range there.
Sanada circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sanada will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Morimoto takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Sanada catches Morimoto with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Morimoto is rocked!
BAM! Sanada delivers a spinning backfist that drops Morimoto like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
