Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John McClaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John McClaine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Coleman! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman has a takedown stuffed. Coleman fails with the takedown. Coleman fails to land the takedown. John McClaine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Coleman. Coleman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McClaine tries to avoid it but Coleman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McClaine to the ground. McClaine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coleman wants to clinch up but McClaine keeps it at a distance. Coleman lands a body shot.
McClaine tries for a takedown but Coleman circles away easily and Coleman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McClaine! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. McClaine wants to control but Coleman is having none of it. McClaine slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. McClaine moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. McClaine manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McClaine avoids the attempt from Coleman to control. McClaine looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Coleman can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman wants to hold on but McClaine pushes him away. McClaine jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Coleman manages to avoid the submission attempt. The ground and pound from McClaine seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Coleman is looking for a sweep. Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McClaine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McClaine is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Coleman has escaped the position, nice work there. McClaine is breathing heavily. McClaine tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McClaine has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! McClaine is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Coleman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Coleman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman tries to kick McClaine off but McClaine keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Coleman works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McClaine wants to pass the guard but Coleman is keeping the position. Coleman working a defensive guard here.
Coleman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McClaine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Steve Coleman will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Coleman. Coleman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. McClaine is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Coleman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. McClaine is looking to improve his position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. McClaine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McClaine is looking for a triangle but Coleman pushes his legs off easily.
Coleman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McClaine keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McClaine looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Coleman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McClaine keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully. McClaine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McClaine swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McClaine trying to control the position.
McClaine is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Coleman drops back looking for a leg! McClaine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McClaine manages to kick Coleman off! Coleman jumps back into McClaine's guard. Coleman wants to control from the top but McClaine keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Coleman has his takedown stuffed and McClaine counters with a nice double leg into half guard. McClaine moves into full mount! Coleman won't be happy about that! Coleman is trying to escape the mount.
McClaine unloading with bombs! McClaine trying to control but Coleman is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John McClaine dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Coleman misses with a takedown and McClaine counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Coleman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McClaine. Coleman is holding on to half guard well. McClaine missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McClaine tries to pass to full mount but Coleman defends it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Coleman is staying active underneath McClaine, who seems content to just control the action from this position. McClaine passes to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. McClaine working over Coleman with some ground and pound. Coleman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. McClaine wants to take a breather but Coleman is having none of it. McClaine is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Coleman looking for submissions from an awkward position here. McClaine prevents Coleman from improving his position. McClaine controlling the action here. McClaine thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Coleman's head. Coleman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. McClaine shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McClaine was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Coleman is wriggling around trying to escape.
McClaine has control of Coleman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Coleman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Coleman wants to hold on but McClaine pushes him away. John McClaine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman is looking to get to half guard. Coleman looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. Coleman regains half guard. McClaine is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Coleman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McClaine.
And that's the end of the fight! John McClaine showed his dominance in that final round. I think McClaine has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
