Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Teddy Barton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Morgan! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Summer Carpenter and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Barton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Morgan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Barton shoots in and bounces Morgan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Barton throwing strikes from guard but Morgan blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barton decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Morgan, up you get! Barton gets a takedown into half guard. Barton passes to full mount! Barton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Barton lands a big elbow. BOOM! Barton connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Morgan's face.
Barton lands a couple of good shots and Morgan has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

I would not like to be Morgan right now.
Morgan wants to control his opponent's hands but Barton gets his hands free. Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barton lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Morgan won't enjoy being in this position. Barton looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Morgan is tapping - it's over boys! Barton picks up the submission victory!
