Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Willer!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers misses with a leg kick
and Rogers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Willer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Willer avoids a kick to the body.
Willer shoots in but Rogers avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rogers scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Willer darts in looking for a takedown but Rogers gets double underhooks and turns Willer into the cage.

Willer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Willer tries to close the distance and clinch but Rogers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rogers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rogers holds on and takes a little breather.

Willer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Willer is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rogers has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Rogers tries to hold on but Willer pushes him away.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rogers tries to clinch up but Willer circles away and keeps his distance.
Willer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogers is fending him off so far but Willer persists. Nope, Rogers circles away and we're back to standing.
Willer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rogers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Willer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Willer tries to clinch up but Rogers circles away and keeps his distance.

Willer darts in and clinches Rogers up against the cage.

Rogers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Willer takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Willer is trying to drag Rogers to the mat but Rogers just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Willer is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rogers can't fight it off and eventually Willer manages to take the fight to the floor. Rogers looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Willer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rogers avoids it really well and circles away.

Willer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rogers fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Willer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rogers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Willer somewhat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Will Willer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Will Willer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rogers wanted to stand there but Willer had control of the position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jimmy Rogers.
I think Willer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
