The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivfader throws a nice looking combination but Propa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Propa thows a left - swing and a miss!

Rivfader closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rivfader controls the position.
Propa gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Propa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Propa wants to hold on but Rivfader pushes him away.
Rivfader controlling the pace for now.
Rivfader is landing with some decent strikes but Propa is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Chuggy Propa has been cut.

Rivfader tries to control but Propa wriggling away.
Rivfader lands a big elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Propa can't escape the position.
Rivfader scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That has opened up Chuggy Propa's cut even more.

Rivfader seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Propa for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rivfader has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Eirik Rivfader wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Rivfader has hold of one of Propa's legs. Propa is fighting the takedown attempt but Rivfader gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Propa works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Propa tries to hold on but Rivfader pushes him away.

Rivfader is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Propa can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Rivfader gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Eirik Rivfader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rivfader gets control of Propa's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rivfader will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Rivfader pushes Propa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Rivfader drives through and clinches with Propa against the cage.

Rivfader breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Propa scores with a jab to the jaw.

Rivfader changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Propa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Propa wants to get back to his feet but Rivfader is dominant here and he's now got Propa's back!
Propa trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rivfader really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Propa.
Rivfader's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Rivfader's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Rivfader is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Propa can do to turn this around?
