Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franky Syn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Syn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Truth by Alexander kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brutus Nash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franky Syn! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Syn ducks under a wild hook from Nash. A jab lands there for Syn. Syn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nash is landing a low percentage of strikes. Nash misses with a looping right. Syn misses with a hook. Syn wants to clinch. Syn moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Nash takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Syn missing with a left hand there. Nash was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nash lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nash tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Syn throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Syn will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Syn throws a nice inside leg kick. Nash avoids the body shot from Syn.
Syn stuffs the takedown attempt from Nash. Nash gets slowly back to his feet. Danga de danga de dang - Syn scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Brutus Nash has been cut. Syn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nash. Nash lands with an uppercut that bounces Syn off the cage and back into range. Syn tries to clinch up but Nash circles away and keeps his distance. Nash shoots in but no luck this time. Nash is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Nash shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Syn pinned against the cage. Syn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brutus Nash. That's going to take a lot out of him. Syn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nash looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nash dodges the punch combination from Syn.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Syn throws a big shot that misses. Good standup being displayed there by Syn as he connects with a hook. Nash throws a one two combo.
Syn lands a jab-cross combination. Syn swinging wildly here.
Nash's jab looks to have found its range, popping Syn under the eye. Syn lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nash looks to land a left hand but Syn moved out of range nicely. Syn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Nash takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Syn throws a nice looking combination but Nash bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Syn throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Syn jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nash lands a nice shot that snaps Syn's head back.
Nash moves out of range as Syn strikes. Nash shoots in looking for a takedown. Syn tries to sprawl out of it but Nash keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Syn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Syn misses with a low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Syn was well out of range. Poor timing from Nash. Syn scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nash in his tracks. Syn instigates a clinch. Nash can't find room to land a body shot as Syn controls the action.
Syn lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nash backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head punch on the inside from Syn fails to land. Syn goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Nash can't break the clinch.
Nash tries to circle away but Syn has him pinned against the cage. Syn pushes Nash back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Nash manages to pull guard.
Syn wants to stand and escape but instead Nash has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Syn throws a solid leg kick but Nash takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Syn. Franky Syn seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jab by Syn. The crowd cheers as Syn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nash doesn't seem phased though. Syn just misses with a punch to the body.

Nash bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nash tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Syn on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Nash is looking to take a break and control but Syn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nash tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Syn is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. A lull in the action here. Syn is looking to regain half guard here but Nash keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Syn is trying to control Nash's posture but Nash avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ground and pound from Nash seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Syn wants to control but Nash postures up. Nash slows the pace down. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Syn is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Nash working the ground and pound but Syn is defending the strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nash is looking to take a break and control but Syn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A swing and a miss from Nash. Syn lands a head kick. Nash smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Nash throws a nice looking combination but Syn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nash misses with a wild body shot. Franky Syn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circling - Syn throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nash comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nash takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Syn is looking to chop away at Nash's legs. Syn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nash paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Nash avoids a punch combination nicely.
Syn lands a jab. Nash throws a body punch but Syn moves out of range. Syn throws a jab when Nash was well out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nash misses with a left hand and Syn counters with a good low kick that Nash was not able to check. Syn is looking to score with low kicks. Syn throws a head kick that Nash semi-blocks.
Nash ducks under a wild hook from Syn. Syn throws a looping overhand right but Nash ducks down to avoid it. Syn feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nash's calf. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nash avoids a punch combination nicely.
Syn jabs Nash to the body, keeping him at a distance. The fighters circle momentarily. Syn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Syn wants to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nash looks to land a combination but Syn avoids it well. Nash throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Syn swings for the body but Nash moves out of range.
Nash just misses with a punch to the body.
Nash gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Jab from Syn.
Nash is rocked! Syn throws a right hand that Nash ducks under and follows up with a left that Nash also avoids with ease. Oh Nash is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nash waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Syn. Syn will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Syn drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Nash right on the button. Nash goes down! Syn follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Syn gets the win via TKO!
