Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jasper Mclaughlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonny Doolin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doolin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mclaughlin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mclaughlin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Doolin felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mclaughlin is working for a rear naked choke. Doolin is not defending it well and Mclaughlin has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Doolin refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Doolin's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
