Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zheng Ming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yury Ignashevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zheng Ming! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yury Ignashevich! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ignashevich throws a right hand that Ming ducks under and follows up with a left that Ming also avoids with ease. Ming ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ignashevich avoids the body shot from Ming.
A left and a right from Ignashevich both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Zheng Ming has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ming clinches. Ignashevich tries to pull guard but Ming holds him up against the cage and eventually Ignashevich drops back down to his feet.

Zheng Ming has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yury Ignashevich. Ignashevich is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ming to keep the fight standing. Ignashevich is trying to drag Ming to the mat but Ming just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Ming gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ignashevich.
Ignashevich has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ming avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ming is defending well against a takedown attempt. Ignashevich is trying to pull guard but Ming turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Ming - that landed with a thud.
A short uppercut from Ming. Ming works on Ignashevich's body with a couple of short punches. Ignashevich looks winded! Ming is pressed up against the cage. Ignashevich has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ming down to the mat. Ming avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Yury Ignashevich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ming jabs Ignashevich right on the nose. Ignashevich blinks but takes it well. Ming jabs at Ignashevich's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ming moves out of range of the strikes. Ming lands with a straight right. Ignashevich didn't see that one coming. Ming throws a monster overhand right that drops Ignashevich! Ming follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zheng Ming! Zheng Ming is the new heavyweight champion! Zheng Ming was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
