Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Trapt - Waiting kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Kirk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David William! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! William misses with a head kick.
William manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kirk on his heels. He'll look to pass Kirk's guard now, I'm sure. Kirk isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. William stacks Kirk on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by William! Kirk is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on William's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. William throwing shots but Kirk is blocking nicely. Kirk avoiding damage under a succession of punches from William. Kirk wants to control but William is keeping busy and won't allow it. William thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kirk's head. Kirk is defending against the submission attempts here by William.
Kirk is looking for a sweep. William is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. William throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kirk to regain full guard. William trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. William throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kirk works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kirk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. William trying to control but Kirk is working from the bottom. Kirk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. William advances position into side control! Kirk trying to remain calm as William controls from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. William cracks Kirk with an elbow. That is naaassty. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. William wants to control for a moment but Kirk uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kirk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kirk slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. William stands and steps away. Kirk gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. William misses the shot to the body. William tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kirk counters with a single leg into guard. William didn't expect that. Kirk throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. William pulls Kirk in to control the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. William utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. William looking to control.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David William wasn't active enough on the ground. Kirk fails with a takedown attempt. A head kick misses from William.
That's four minutes gone in the round. William tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kirk paws at him with a jab and circles away. William closes the distance looking to clinch and Kirk counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kirk is trying to push William away but William has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. William with an attempt at a knee that misses.
William tries to break free but Kirk pushes him back against the cage. Kirk has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed William clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Kirk thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but David William will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
William wants to clinch. William tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kirk paws at him with a jab and circles away. William scores with a takedown into Kirk's guard. William won't allow Kirk to sweep him here. Kirk is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kirk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. William content to stall in guard here. William wants to control from the top but Kirk keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

David William has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. William misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - William looks like he's thinking about clinching though. William throws a sloppy head kick and Kirk counters with a big head kick but William shrugs it off. William shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kirk napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kirk sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. William is looking for a kimura but Kirk is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for William to get the leverage. William is breathing heavily. Kirk moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kirk tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kirk working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from William. William preventing the sweep. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. William passes Kirk's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kirk slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kirk throwing short punches from the bottom. Kirk lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. William looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirk throwing strikes from guard but William blocks nicely. Kirk won't allow William to get back to his feet. Kirk postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. William utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. William wants to sweep but no luck.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. William moves into the clinch successfully.
Kirk takes a shot to the head. Kirk is looking for a takedown. Kirk is trying to drag William to the mat but William just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kirk successfully pulls guard.
William preventing the sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. William throws an elbow that misses. Kirk uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in William's guard. Nice move by Kirk! Kirk gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ricky Kirk will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
William scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kirk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. William is trying to control. Kirk wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. David William has got the better of the ground game so far. William throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kirk to regain full guard. William throws a strike but Kirk rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kirk preventing the sweep. William preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirk landing some decent shots from guard. William is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kirk dives into side control.
Kirk postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kirk throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirk working the body and head with strikes. Kirk working away. William wants to get back to his feet but Kirk is dominant here and he's now got William's back! William has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kirk. William covering up well under a series of strikes from Kirk. Kirk throwing damaging strikes from the back! William could be in trouble here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirk is landing with strikes from the back. William can't escape the position.
William takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kirk misses with an elbow to the head. William trying to control the hands but Kirk won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. William has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Kirk is working the ground and pound. Can William escape? Kirk missing with strikes from the back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kirk is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
And that's the end of the fight! Ricky Kirk showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kirk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
