Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonqw Fray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Sorrowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonqw Fray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Sorrowe!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorrowe misses with a series of wild punches.
Fray fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sorrowe swivels and escapes.
Sorrowe has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sorrowe throws a half hearted mid kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Sorrowe misses the target.
No luck for Fray with that takedown attempt.
Sorrowe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fray.
Fray shoots for a takedown but Sorrowe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonqw Fray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fray moves forwards but Sorrowe connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The crowd cheers as Sorrowe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fray doesn't seem phased though.
Sorrowe throws a right and a left that both miss.

Fray gets a double leg takedown into Sorrowe's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sorrowe is on top in guard.

Fray wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Sorrowe is now in half guard.
Fray tries to roll over but Sorrowe keeps him under control.
Fray might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sorrowe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sorrowe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fray sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Sorrowe wants to stand up but Fray has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Fray tries to get to full guard but Sorrowe has control of the leg.
Sorrowe is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Fray tries to roll over but Sorrowe keeps him under control.

Fray is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Mello MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sean Sorrowe wasn't active enough on the ground.
Fray dives in for a single leg takedown but Sorrowe sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Fray wants a takedown.

Fray gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Fray tries to free his leg and advance position but Sorrowe is retaining full guard.
Fray stops Sorrowe from standing up.
Fray looking to sit in guard and control but Sorrowe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sorrowe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fray is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sorrowe wants to stand but Fray has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sorrowe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fray defends well and Sorrowe ends up having to push Fray into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Sorrowe goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Sorrowe has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Fray tries to pull guard but Sorrowe forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Sorrowe stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Fray drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sorrowe pulls his leg out and moves away.

Fray has managed to clinch.

Sorrowe is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Fray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sorrowe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jonqw Fray is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fray has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sorrowe after a bit of a struggle.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Sean Sorrowe has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Fray uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sorrowe.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Sorrowe misses with a wild combination.

Sean Sorrowe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fray closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sorrowe did well to prevent Fray getting side control.
Fray thows a huge punch but Sorrowe dodges it nicely.

Fray seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sorrowe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sorrowe tries to kick Fray off but Fray keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Sorrowe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sorrowe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fray has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sorrowe has managed to get both his arms back between Fray's legs - danger averted.
