Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerzy Arlecki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Austin Williams! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arlecki connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Arlecki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.
Arlecki jabbing away but nothing is landing. Arlecki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Arlecki scores with a leg kick.
Arlecki misses with a low kick. Arlecki misses with a two punch combination.
Arlecki finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Williams has a takedown stuffed. Arlecki throws a half hearted mid kick. Arlecki uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Williams. Williams cracks the inside of Arlecki's front leg. Williams fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Arlecki is out of range. A jab from Williams misses. Arlecki throws a jab but it's blocked by Williams. Arlecki throws a head kick that half lands.
Arlecki fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Williams has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jerzy Arlecki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams ducks under a wild hook from Arlecki. Williams gets a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Williams. Williams slows the pace down in half guard. Williams is thwarting Arlecki's attempts to control the position. Williams controlling the action here. Arlecki blocking the ground and pound attempt from Williams.

Williams perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Williams throws a low kick but Arlecki avoids it. Williams misses the shot to the body. Arlecki lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Good leg kick by Arlecki there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Arlecki lands a leg kick that knocks Williams off balance momentarily. We've been told by Arlecki's head coaches at High Voltage Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Williams slips under a jab from Arlecki. Arlecki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williams. Arlecki misses with an attempted mid kick.
Williams stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Arlecki. This has been an exciting period of action! Williams checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Arlecki throws a head kick that misses. Williams fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Williams misses with a wild combination.
That kick from Williams tenderised Arlecki's leg. Arlecki is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arlecki's waist but Arlecki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side. Jerzy Arlecki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Williams. Williams pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Arlecki lands an overhand right. Arlecki defending well as Williams loads up on a big left hand. Williams moves out of range as Arlecki throws a body kick.
Arlecki moves into range and connects with a jab. Arlecki throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range. Arlecki lands with a hook. Williams tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Williams on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Arlecki takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Williams misses with a few strikes there.
Arlecki fails in his attempt to clinch. Williams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Arlecki sees it coming and avoids it easily. Williams ducks right into an uppercut from Arlecki. This has been an exciting period of action! A head kick misses from Williams.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arlecki lets loose with a powerful body kick. Williams will feel that in the morning. Williams scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Arlecki slips a jab from Williams. Arlecki is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Williams checks a leg kick. The fighters circle momentarily. Arlecki darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Williams moves out of range of the strikes. A head kick misses from Arlecki. Arlecki looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A decent looking cross lands there for Williams. Arlecki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Good exchange - Williams coming out on top. Jerzy Arlecki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Williams slips nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jerzy Arlecki will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arlecki moves away. Williams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. An inside leg kick from Arlecki misses. Arlecki avoids the body shot from Williams.
Arlecki tried to score with a low kick but Williams checks it. Williams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Arlecki was covering up waiting for the punch and Williams finishes the takedown easily into guard. Williams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Arlecki looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Williams trying to control but Arlecki is working from the bottom. Williams chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arlecki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Williams controls the pace. Williams postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Arlecki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Arlecki keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Williams is stalling in the full guard. Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Williams presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Arlecki misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Williams.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Williams as Arlecki tries to tie him up. Arlecki looks to throw an elbow but misses. Williams tries for a takedown but Arlecki manages to get underhooks.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Williams is looking for a takedown. Arlecki gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Williams.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Arlecki is defending well. Williams blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Williams has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Arlecki avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Williams lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Williams creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A right handed body shot lands from Williams.
Arlecki lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Arlecki. A shot in the inside from Williams. Arlecki goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Williams drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Arlecki gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Williams has hold of one of Arlecki's legs. Arlecki is fighting the takedown attempt but Williams gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Williams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Arlecki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Arlecki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Arlecki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there. Williams with a nice head shot there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams lands a couple of digs. Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Austin Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Arlecki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Oh Arlecki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Williams works to advance to full mount. Arlecki defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Williams loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Arlecki scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Williams land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Williams stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Austin Williams! During a confident post fight interview, Austin Williams thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
