Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trev Parr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trev Parr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stan Clay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Trev Parr!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parr blocks a head kick by Clay.

Parr drives through and clinches with Clay against the cage.
Parr prevents the takedown attempt.
Clay has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Parr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Parr is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Parr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Clay uses from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Parr is looking to stand up but Clay isn't so interested in that idea.

Clay could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Parr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Clay's guard.

Parr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Clay is keeping the position for now.
Parr with a flurry of punches that miss.
Parr trying to control but Clay is working from the bottom.

Parr wants to control from the top but Clay keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Trev Parr hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Parr moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Parr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Clay's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Parr's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Clay keeping moving, preventing Parr from controlling successfully.
Clay has a closed guard, preventing Parr from standing up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Trev Parr has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Parr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Clay looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
I wouldn't like to be where Clay is right now.
Clay has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Clay prevents Parr from moving into mount.
Clay is looking for a sweep.

Parr stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Clay tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Parr's elbow.

Parr has clasped his hands together around Clay's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Clay can't do much from the bottom here.
Clay is looking to regain half guard here but Parr keeps moving and retains side control.
Parr tries to advance to mount but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Clay is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trev Parr dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Parr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Clay's guard.
Clay trying to keep a closed guard but Parr is proving a slippery customer.

Parr drops back looking for a leg! Clay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Clay manages to kick Parr off! Parr jumps back into Clay's guard.

Parr works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Parr wants to take a breather but Clay is having none of it.
Clay keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Parr is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Clay manages to get to full guard.
Parr trying to control the position from guard on top but Clay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Trev Parr was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Parr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Clay looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clay is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Parr is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Parr wants to stand but Clay has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Clay looking for a sweep. Not yet Clay, not yet.
Parr prevents Clay from getting back to his feet.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Clay looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Parr stands and throws Clay's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Parr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Parr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clay is looking for a sweep.

Clay tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Parr presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Clay is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Clay is squirming around, avoiding Parr's attempts to control the action.

Clay squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Parr looking to control and managing it successfully.
Clay is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trev Parr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Parr has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Clay is proving hard to escape from.
Parr wants to stand and escape but instead Clay has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Parr is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are battling for position here. Parr manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Parr has his hands on Clay's head, controlling the position.
Clay in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Clay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Clay has managed to get both his arms back between Parr's legs - danger averted.
Parr tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Parr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clay can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Parr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Clay is controlling him.

Clay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Parr wants to improve his position but Clay is controlling well.

Clay seems to be looking for submissions.

Trev Parr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Parr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
