Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between German Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arvel Garnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shephard comes to the cage accompanied by K9 Justice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, German Shephard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Arvel Garnett!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garnett takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Shephard lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Shephard attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Garnett throws a hook to the side of Shephard's head but Shephard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shephard moves out of range of the strikes.
Shephard cracks Garnett with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Garnett looks to score with a jab to the body but Shephard is just out of range.
Shephard has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shephard there as he acknowledges the shot.
Garnett misses the jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shephard is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Garnett throws a body shot but no joy.
Garnett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shephard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Garnett was well out of range. Poor timing from Shephard.
Shephard has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Stark Slugger Society - NY in the buildup to the fight.
Garnett misses with a straight right.
Shephard lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Garnett slips a straight right by Shephard.
Shephard walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Shephard darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Shephard avoids a kick to the body.
Garnett keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garnett takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Garnett is rocked!

Shephard rushes Garnett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Garnett tries to circle away but Shephard has him pinned against the cage.
Shephard makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Garnett is still on wobbly legs! Can Shephard finish him?

Shephard lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Garnett to his knees! Shephard keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
