Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rayvan Marenia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Nikitin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikitin tries for a takedown but Marenia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marenia shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nikitin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Marenia tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Nikitin tries to buck Marenia off but Marenia is having none of it.
Marenia wants to stand but Nikitin has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Nikitin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Marenia wants to stand up but Nikitin is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nikitin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marenia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
My spies in Mano`s Elite BJJ Gym inform me that Nikitin has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Marenia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nikitin controls the pace.

Marenia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nikitin sprawls well. Nikitin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marenia gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Rayvan Marenia has been cut.
Nikitin prevents Marenia from breaking the clinch.
Nikitin tightens his grip and picks Marenia up, before dumping him to the ground. Marenia manages to land in guard.

Well Nikitin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
