Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trevor Buck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jisuk Seo! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buck connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Buck has closed the distance and engaged Seo in a clinch.
Seo has Buck pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Buck manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Seo wants the takedown. Buck is fighting it off but Seo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Buck's guard against the cage. Buck is trying to control the position from the bottom.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Seo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Seo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Buck is keeping the position for now. Seo wants to control from the top but Buck keeps moving. Seo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Seo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Buck bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seo's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Buck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Seo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Buck working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Seo's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buck pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Seo is keeping the position for now. Buck scoring with some ground and pound. Buck has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Buck with a flurry of punches that miss. Buck definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Buck trying to control the position from guard on top but Seo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Buck looking to sit in guard and control but Seo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Buck trying to keep a closed guard but Seo is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buck is really struggling to control Seo but he's trying to hold on to the position. Seo trying to control the position from guard on top but Buck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Seo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Seo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Buck not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Buck wants to sweep but no luck. Buck manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Seo manages to get himself to full guard.
Buck throws an elbow that misses. Seo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Buck's guard. Nice move by Seo! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Buck wants to sweep but no luck. Seo postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Buck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Buck is trying to control the position but Seo postures up. Seo wants to control from the top but Buck keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Buck throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Buck closes the distance and clinches. Buck lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Seo is pressing down on Buck's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buck looking to sit in guard and control but Seo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seo won't allow Buck to sweep him here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Seo drops back for a leg! Trevor Buck dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Buck closes the distance and pushes Seo back into the cage. Buck gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Seo.
Seo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Seo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Buck trying to control the position.
Buck looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Buck has his hands on Seo's head, controlling the position. Buck is trying to keep Seo in close.
Seo passes into half guard. Seo is thwarting Buck's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Buck is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Seo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Seo's back! Buck lands a shot to the body. Buck is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Seo is defending well though. Buck let's go of the attempt for now. Seo covering up well under a barage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buck looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Seo tries to break free.
Buck throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Seo!
This has been an exciting period of action! Buck lands punches and elbows. Seo trying to control the position but Buck manages to sink in the hooks. Buck is landing with strikes from the back.
Seo is rocked! Buck connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Seo to escape the position.
Seo is still in real trouble! Can Buck finish him? Buck lands strikes from the back and Seo isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trevor Buck! Jisuk Seo spoke after the fight, saying '"oops...I did it again..." -nick fury from DC comics'.
