The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saarenpaa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Saarenpaa thumps Darklance with a low kick.
Nice sprawl there from Saarenpaa as Darklance shoots in.
Darklance takes a kick to the side of the head.
We've been told by Saarenpaa's head coaches at The Jungle Elite MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Darklance throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Saarenpaa wants to land a leg kick but Darklance is out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Darklance or perhaps it was just good defense by Saarenpaa, which made it look bad.
A thudding body kick lands there by Saarenpaa!
Saarenpaa lands a nice looking body shot.
Darklance walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Saarenpaa shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Darklance gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Saarenpaa gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
