Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Unit Six (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Carson's choice of entrance music: strke back. Unit Six has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Unit Six! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Carson! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Six decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Carson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Six in particular looking to stall. Six stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Carson to get to his feet. Carson moves out of range of the body kick from Six.
Six drives through with a takedown into guard. Six looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Six decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Six drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Six stands up. Carson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Joe Carson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Six forces Carson back against the cage and clinches. Six pulls guard effortlessly. Six controls Carson momentarily but Carson frees himself. Six thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Six bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carson's guard. Carson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Carson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Six gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Six chips away with some ground and pound. Six's corner is telling him to maintain position. Six will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Six passes into half guard. Six stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Carson to get to his feet. Six moves into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Six has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Carson regains guard immediately. Six sitting in guard, not really doing much. Six has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Six working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Carson's head. Carson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Six controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Unit Six just wasn't active enough. Six scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Six is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Carson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Six stands up and beckons Carson to his feet. Six lands a nice looking body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carson moves out of range of the leg kick from Six. Six clinches with his opponent.
Six gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Six stands and steps away. Carson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Six scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Six with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Six's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Six tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Six gets a takedown into half guard. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Carson has eaten all the pies! Carson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Six scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Six stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Carson is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Six is looking to score with low kicks. Six misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carson throws a head kick that misses. Six is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Carson's half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Six in particular looking to stall. Six working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Six winds up and cracks Carson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Six content to control rather than advance. Six passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carson!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Six takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Carson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Unit Six overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Six postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carson looks a forlorn figure.

Carson is rocked! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Six trying to control but he's not successful this time. Carson is still in real trouble! Can Six finish him? Six controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A looping hook to the body misses from Six. Carson does a little dance to reset his feet. Carson seems to have recovered his senses. Some bone on bone action there as Carson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Six fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Carson checks it well. Six wants to clinch. Six looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Six is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Carson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Six seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Six is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carson can do to turn this around? The referee calls for the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Unit Six wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Six bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Six controls the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Six trying to control the action but Carson is working from the bottom. Six decides to take the fight back to the feet. Six gets a double leg takedown into Carson's guard. Six content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Six has picked Carson up and slammed him! Carson can't keep hold of the triangle and Six manages to pass to side control! Carson is looking to reverse the position. Six decides to stand back up. Six steps back and let's Carson get back to his feet. Six finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carson misses with a right hand and Six moves into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Six escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Six wants to control from the top but Carson keeps moving. Carson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Unit Six showed his dominance in that final round. Well Six has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
