The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer moves in looking to clinch but Norton pushes him off.

and Norton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Archer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Archer lands in his opponent's guard.

Norton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Archer's guard.
Archer wants to stand up but Norton is controlling him.
Archer thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Norton is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Norton is trying to break the clinch but Archer is controlling him.
Archer tightens his grip and picks Norton up, before dumping him to the ground. Norton manages to land in guard.
Archer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Norton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Archer has managed to get both his arms back between Norton's legs - danger averted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Archer prevents Norton from improving his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Archer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Archer misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Norton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Archer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Archer's back!
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Archer. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Norton punches Archer on the ear.
Norton is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Archer knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Archer for a finish.
