The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mvungi misses with the combination.
Kharitonov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mvungi is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kharitonov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mvungi blocks a low kick nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mvungi. Kharitonov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kharitonov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mvungi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kharitonov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mvungi under the eye.

Kharitonov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Mvungi has had enough of the clinch but Kharitonov keeps him there for the moment.

Kharitonov creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Mvungi's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Mvungi drops to his knees and Kharitonov pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
