Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baraka Simengwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Sarpong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Simengwa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Afande Sele feat Ditto - Darubini kali. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Simengwa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Simengwa closes the distance but Sarpong moves to the side
and Sarpong counters with a nice uppercut.
Simengwa checks a leg kick.
Sarpong circles away from the clinch attempt
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Sarpong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Sarpong.
Baraka Simengwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simengwa throws a hook but Sarpong blocks it.
We've been hearing reports that Simengwa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Simengwa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sarpong swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sarpong clinches up with Simengwa and pushes him back against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Sarpong throws an elbow but misses.
Simengwa takes an elbow to the temple.
Simengwa avoids a wild elbow strike from Sarpong.
Sarpong unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Simengwa has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sarpong is trying to keep an underhook but Simengwa manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Simengwa is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sarpong!
Sarpong is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Simengwa locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Sarpong is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Baraka Simengwa!
