Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lukacz Belmont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Harbor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belmont comes into the arena with N.W.A - Appetite For Destruction blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lukacz Belmont!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Harbor!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belmont slips a straight right by Harbor.
The fighters circling - Belmont throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Harbor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Belmont.
Harbor misses with a two punch combination.
A jab from Belmont finds it's way through Harbor's defenses.
The fighters circling - Harbor throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Belmont is looking to chop away at Harbor's legs.
Belmont attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Harbor looks to land a left hand but Belmont moved out of range nicely.
Harbor walks forward, straight into a front kick from Belmont.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harbor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Harbor counters with a single leg into guard. Belmont didn't expect that.
Harbor wants to pass the guard but Belmont is keeping the position.
Belmont pulls Harbor in close to prevent any damage.
Harbor missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Harbor postures up in Belmont's guard and throws a big left but Belmont blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belmont keeping moving, preventing Harbor from controlling successfully.

Harbor wants to pass the guard but Belmont is keeping the position.
Harbor trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Belmont throws a nice inside leg kick.
Belmont sizes up Harbor with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Harbor misses with a hook. Belmont ducked under it nicely.
Belmont just misses with a punch to the body.
Belmont throws a leg kick but Harbor sees it coming and checks it nicely.

The fighters circle momentarily. Harbor darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Belmont throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Harbor misses with a wild body shot.
Belmont thuds a left hand into Harbor's body.
Belmont throws an off balance right hand

and Harbor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Belmont won't be happy with that.

Harbor looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Harbor in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Belmont trying to remain calm as Harbor controls from the top position.
Harbor throwing strikes but Belmont manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Harbor has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Harbor sneaks back into half guard.
Belmont is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Harbor tries to get to full guard but Belmont has control of the leg.
Belmont has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Harbor has a hand on Belmont's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Belmont takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

James Harbor dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fighters circling - Belmont throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Belmont misses with a head kick.
Belmont connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Harbor's hands.
Harbor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Belmont.
Belmont scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harbor doesn't seem bothered though.

Harbor throws a poor cross that misses
and Belmont connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belmont looks to land a body kick but Harbor moved away.

Belmont throws a low kick but Harbor avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belmont's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Harbor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Belmont scrambles back to his feet.
Harbor might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Belmont does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Belmont tried to score with a low kick but Harbor checks it.
Harbor misses with a few strikes there.
Harbor paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Belmont jabs Harbor to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Harbor tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Harbor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Belmont slips under a jab.
Belmont throws a hook but Harbor blocks it.
A telegraphed right hand from Belmont misses the target.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Harbor in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Harbor stuns Belmont with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Harbor misses with an uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Harbor throws a right hand that misses
and Belmont counters with an outside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Belmont counters with a head kick. That will keep Harbor thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Belmont lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Harbor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Belmont attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Belmont's corner calls for a 1-2. Belmont obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Belmont uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Harbor.
Harbor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Belmont motions for Harbor to come forward. Belmont throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

so Harbor counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harbor is looking to pass into half guard but Belmont pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Belmont is in guard.

Harbor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Harbor has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Belmont is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Harbor.
Harbor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Harbor is looking to reverse the position.

Belmont stands up and beckons Harbor to his feet.
Belmont throws a body punch but Harbor moves out of range.

Belmont might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Belmont bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Belmont makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Harbor smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Harbor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Harbor gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A lazy left from Harbor finds it's target.

and Belmont counters with a nice leg kick.
Harbor misses with a jab to the body
and Belmont counters with a nice low kick that buckles Harbor's knee momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harbor has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Harbor there as he acknowledges the shot.
Harbor on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Belmont misses with a low kick.
Harbor misses with a jab to the body
and Belmont counters with an inside leg kick.
Belmont cracks the inside of Harbor's front leg.
Belmont tries to score with a low kick but Harbor moves his leg out of the way.
Harbor's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Harbor misses with a lunging right hand
and Belmont counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A swing and a miss from Harbor.
Harbor stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lukacz Belmont.
I think Belmont has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
