Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Selfrid Bergman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacoby Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacoby Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Selfrid Bergman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacoby Jones! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bergman is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Bergman circles away and we're back to standing. Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jones with a jab. Jones misses with a straight left. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bergman's waist but Bergman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Selfrid Bergman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacoby Jones. Jones throws a head kick but Bergman moves out of range.
Bergman walks into a left hand. The fighters circle momentarily. Bergman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Bergman scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We've heard reports from his gym mates at Bloodsport Gym 16 Elites that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bergman is controlling Jones's posture. Jones postures up in Bergman's guard and throws a big left but Bergman blocks it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones slips a jab and a cross from Bergman.
Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bergman misses with a looping left. Jones takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bergman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Bergman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones throws a series of punches but Bergman moves out of range. Bergman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bergman scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bergman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bergman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones lands a head shot. Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones defending well as Bergman loads up on a big left hand. Jones slips a jab from Bergman. Jones throws a right hand that Bergman ducks under and follows up with a left that Bergman also avoids with ease. A good leg kick by Jones. Bergman takes the fight into the clinch. The referee calls for Jones to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A nice glancing elbow lands by Jones. Jones is pressed up against the cage. Bergman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Selfrid Bergman will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bergman closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Bergman pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones misses the shot to the body. Jones connects with the punch. Jacoby Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bergman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bergman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. This has been an exciting period of action! And that's the end of the fight! Selfrid Bergman showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bergman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
