PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peyton Manning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by I Get Money. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peyton Manning!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manning throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Manning's waist but Manning gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Manning will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Manning avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Manning feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Manning changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Manning is controlling him.
Manning is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Manning wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manning swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Manning wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jackson throws and elbow that misses. Manning uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jackson's guard. Nice move by Manning!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Manning wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him.

Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
