Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lucjan Anielski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peekay Williams! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams misses with a body kick. Anielski on the wrong end of a nice jab. Williams misses with a kick to the body.
Williams cracks Anielski with a right hand to the side of the head. Williams misses the shot to the body. Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anielski as he avoids it easily. Williams takes a swing at Anielski's ribcage but misses. Williams swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Anielski. Anielski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Williams. Anielski takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Williams cracks Anielski with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A swing and a miss from Anielski. Anielski throws out a loose jab but Williams uses good head movement to avoid it. Anielski lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Anielski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams throws a wild body kick that Anielski sees coming a mile off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anielski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Anielski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Williams throws out the jab. Williams comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Anielski defending well as Williams loads up on a big left hand. Williams just misses with a punch to the body.
Anielski moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Williams works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Williams connects with a right hand. Anielski shakes it off. Williams is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Anielski had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Anielski drops his hands momentarily and Williams takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Anielski on the wrong end of a nice hook. Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Anielski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Anielski's guard. Anielski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Williams trying to control but Anielski is working from the bottom. Anielski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anielski wants to get back to his feet but Williams is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Williams throwing strikes from guard but Anielski blocks nicely. Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Williams throws a wild body kick that Anielski sees coming a mile off. Williams rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Anielski counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Williams thinking. Williams is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Anielski blocks a jab. Anielski slips a jab from Williams.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams connects with a body shot that sends Anielski's belly button to the back. Anielski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Anielski takes one on the button. Williams has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Anielski lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Lucjan Anielski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Williams throws a series of punches but Anielski avoids them all with ease. A telegraphed right hand from Anielski misses the target. Williams throws out a loose jab but Anielski uses good head movement to avoid it. Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anielski but Anielski pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've been informed that Williams has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Lucjan Anielski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peekay Williams. A looping hook to the body misses from Williams. Anielski does a little dance to reset his feet. Anielski moves away from the strike by Williams. Williams ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Williams misses with a right hand and Anielski makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Williams swings and misses with a shot to the body and Anielski counters with a straight right hand.

and Anielski counters with a solid body kick. No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anielski moves away. A punch combination from Williams misses. Williams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Williams slips a jab and a cross from Anielski.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nice body punch from Williams. Williams connects with a jab. Williams cracks a nice hook into Anielski's ribs. Williams tries to move into range but Anielski moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peekay Williams dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Williams throws a leg kick but Anielski sees it coming and moves out of range. A right-left combo lands from Williams. A jab from Williams misses. Williams throws a right hand that misses
and Williams takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Williams throws a good cross that connects.
Williams misses with a two punch combination.
Williams dives in for a single leg takedown but Anielski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Williams wants to get back to striking at distance but Anielski won't allow it.

Williams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Anielski has him pressed against the cage. Anielski tries to land knees in the clinch but Williams avoids the damage to the body. Anielski digs a right hand into Williams's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Williams's gas tank. Anielski scores a nice knee to the body.

Williams does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Anielski moves out of range as Williams strikes. Anielski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Williams.

and Anielski counters with an inside leg kick. Williams feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Anielskis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lucjan Anielski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peekay Williams. Williams connects with a good right hand that stumbles Anielski. Anielski circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Anielski tries to clinch up. Williams throws a combination that misses and Anielski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Williams moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Williams uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Anielski. Peekay Williams seems to be getting the better of the standup. Williams shoots in for a double leg but Anielski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Williams misses with a wild body shot. Williams looks to land a left hand but Anielski moved out of range nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams connects with a jab. Anielski getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Williams attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anielski scores with a three punch combo!

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucjan Anielski will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Anielski pushes Williams up against the cage in a clinch. Anielski throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Williamss head. Williams is looking to break free of the clinch but Anielski has double underhooks. Anielski keeps control of Williams as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Williams is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Anielski manages to break the clinch.
Anielski looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Williams blocks a jab. The fighters circling - Anielski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anielski with a body punch. A glancing blow. Anielski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Williams throws the left hand but Anielski avoids the punch easily. Williams throws a leg kick and Anielski counters with a nice body shot. Williams cracks Anielski with a good jab. Williams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Anielski! Anielski is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Anielski is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams throws an elbow but Anielski slips to the side and avoids it well. Williams trying to control the position but Anielski is working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Anielski manages to work his way to half guard, despite Williams's best efforts. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Anielski wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.
Williams passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Anielski!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anielski tries to reverse the position but Williams maintains control. Anielski is in a horrible position here. Williams smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Anielski is looking to get to half guard. Anielski is working hard here to advance position. Williams looking to finish Anielski with some ground and pound. This is bad for Anielski! Williams controlling the position easily from mount. Anielski really wants to buck Williams off and get back to his feet.

Anielski tries to hold on but Williams postures up. This has been an exciting period of action! Anielski really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
