Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Banner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Wilcox!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner misses the shot to the body.
Bruce Banner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wilcox.
Banner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wilcox counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wilcox lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Banner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wilcox postures up in Banner's guard and throws a big left but Banner blocks it.

Wilcox thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Banner not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wilcox wants to control from the top but Banner keeps moving.
Banner wants to sweep but no luck.

Banner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wilcox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Banner is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wilcox shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Banner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Banner looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Banner throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Wilcox pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Banner manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Wilcox wants to take a breather but Banner is having none of it.

Wilcox might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Banner kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Banner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wilcox wants to pass the guard but Banner is defending well.
Banner trying to hold on to Wilcox's head to control him but Wilcox postures up.
Wilcox prevents Banner from standing back up.
Wilcox working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Wilcox seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Banner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Wilcox counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Banner!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wilcox wants to finish this one by submission but Banner is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wilcox.

Wilcox is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Banner up.
Banner tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Banner slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Wilcox takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wilcox works his foot free and advances to mount.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Banner wants to hold on but Wilcox pushes him away.

and Banner counters with a two punch combo.
Banner shoots in but no luck this time.
Banner tries to clinch but Wilcox moves away

and Wilcox counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Banner wants to control but Wilcox is keeping busy.
Banner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wilcox.
Banner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wilcox is working away from the top position though.

Wilcox is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Banner has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wilcox seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Banner lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wilcox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Banner lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Banner uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wilcox has time to react.
Wilcox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wilcox takes the fight into the clinch.
Banner swings wildly with an uppercut but Wilcox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Banner's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Banner stands up and waves to Wilcox to follow him.
Banner scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Wilcox tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wilcox lands a nice forearm strike.
Banner controls the position for a moment.
Banner throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Wilcox trying to control the action but Banner is working from the bottom.
Banner sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Banner is trying to get back to full guard.
Banner is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Wilcox is looking to take a break and control but Banner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wilcox winds up and cracks Banner with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Wilcox thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Banner's head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wilcox content to control rather than advance.
Wilcox tries to pass the half guard into mount. Banner knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mark Wilcox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Banner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wilcox throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Banner with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Banner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wilcox takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wilcox tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Banner swivels and escapes.
Banner connects with a jab.
Wilcox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wilcox fails to land the takedown.
Banner stuns Wilcox with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Banner lands a two punch combo.
Banner is looking to clinch.
Banner is looking to clinch but Wilcox is avoiding it.
Wilcox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Banner tries to avoid it but Wilcox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Banner to the ground. Banner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bruce Banner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Wilcox.
Wilcox takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bruce Banner is winning the standup battle so far.
Banner darts in trying to clinch

and Wilcox counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Banner is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wilcox moves into full mount! Banner won't be happy about that!
Banner is trying desperately to improve position.
Banner looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Wilcox's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
You can see the frustration on Banner's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Wilcox cracks Banner with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Banner from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Banner tries to roll but Wilcox sticks to his back.
Banner is taking damage to the body and head.

Banner just trying to survive but Wilcox is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Banner wants to escape the position.

Banner defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Wilcox's arms.

Wilcox looking to break Banner's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Banner remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wilcox will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

I would just about give that final round to Mark Wilcox.
