Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danso Obasanjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Danso Obasanjo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Davies!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies misses with a series of wild punches.
Davies has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Obasanjo cracks Davies with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Obasanjo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Davies is looking for a sweep.
Sloppy strikes there by Obasanjo.
Obasanjo is working Davies over with some ground and pound from side control.
Obasanjo working away.
Davies tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Obasanjo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Obasanjo tries to advance to mount but can't.
Davies is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Obasanjo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Obasanjo tries to pass to full mount but Davies defends it.
Davies is not content to let Obasanjo control the position.

Davies is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Obasanjo pulls his head out easily.
Obasanjo is nestled in close to Davies, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Davies is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davies might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Obasanjo haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Davies regains full guard. Nicely done.
Davies avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davies is on top in guard.

Davies wants to control from the top but Obasanjo keeps moving.
Obasanjo wants to get back to his feet but Davies is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Obasanjo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Obasanjo tries to get out of the position.

Obasanjo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Davies postures up in Obasanjo's guard and throws a big left but Obasanjo blocks it.
Obasanjo wants to stand up but Davies is controlling him.
Davies won't allow Obasanjo to sweep him here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Obasanjo looks to throw the jab but Davies is out of range.
Davies shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Obasanjo pinned against the cage. Obasanjo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Davies fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Obasanjo sprawls well initially but Davies persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Davies not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Obasanjo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Obasanjo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Davies's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Obasanjo is looking to stand up but Davies isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davies decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Obasanjo gets the takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Obasanjo is chipping away with strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davies is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Obasanjo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Obasanjo's back!
I really don't envy Obasanjo right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Danso Obasanjo will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Davies drops down looking for an ankle pick but Obasanjo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Obasanjo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Davies sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Davies has a takedown stuffed.

Obasanjo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davies napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Davies takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Davies dodges the ground and pound from Obasanjo.
Davies is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Obasanjo off and has taken his back!

Obasanjo is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Davies gets his way!
Well, with Davies on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Obasanjo is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Davies is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Obasanjo is defending well though. Davies let's go of the attempt for now.

Davies working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Obasanjo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Obasanjo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
