Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bear Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson avoids the body shot from Aoki .
Shinya Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stevenson's waist but Stevenson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aoki off to one side.
Aoki scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Aoki shoots in and drives through. Stevenson sprawls well.
Aoki misses with a takedown attempt
and Stevenson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Aoki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stevenson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Stevenson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aoki pulls his head out easily.

Aoki jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Stevenson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Stevenson and Aoki has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stevenson is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stevenson keeps working.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stevenson lands a right hook to the body.
Aoki dives in for a single leg takedown but Stevenson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Stevenson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Aoki tries to score a body lock takedown but Stevenson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Aoki looks to land a left hand but Stevenson moved out of range nicely.
Aoki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stevenson but Stevenson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Aoki tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stevenson defends well and Aoki ends up having to push Stevenson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
