Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between JJ Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georg Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen Overkill as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, JJ Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Georg Scott!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Thomas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Scott tries a head kick but it misses.
We've been told by Thomas's head coaches at The Cave Fighting Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Thomas lands a right hook to the body.
Thomas misses with the combination.
Thomas dives in for a single leg takedown but Scott sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Thomas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Scott fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Thomas throws a nice looking combination but Scott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Scott lands a big head kick that sends Thomas tumbling to the mat! Scott takes a step backwards and waves Thomas back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Thomas tries to keep at a distance but Scott has taken the fight into the clinch.

Scott misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thomas slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Scott connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Scott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thomas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Scott throws a hook to the side of Thomas's head but Thomas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thomas cracks Scott with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Scott connects with a leg kick. Thomas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Scott throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Thomas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Scott has time to react.
No joy there for Thomas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Thomas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
JJ Thomas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Scott throws a head kick that misses.

JJ Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georg Scott.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Scott sprawls well. Scott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Georg Scott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Thomas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Thomas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Scott tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Georg Scott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Thomas has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
