1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ed Rollack! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rollack shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rollack was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Fantana tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fantana taking a bit of punishment here - Rollack scoring with strikes. Rollack thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rollack looking to control but instead Fantana has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Rollack is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rollack is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Fantana has managed to free his arm - good work. Rollack works his way into side control. Rollack prevents Fantana from escaping the position. Fantana is not content to let Rollack control the position. Fantana stops Rollack from passing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rollack working the ground and pound. Rollack connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Fantana some visible discomfort.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rollack working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fantana strikes from the bottom but Rollack takes advantage and advances to full mount! Fantana tries to get back to half guard but can't. A nice elbow there by Rollack. Oooh a big shot lands for Rollack! Fantana is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ed Rollack! Ed Rollack decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
