Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wally Hoover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Fuzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wally Hoover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Fuzz!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Fuzz gets a clinch.
Hoover can't get the takedown.

Fuzz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fuzz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hoover keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fuzz's head.
Hoover will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fuzz working a defensive guard here.
Hoover has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fuzz has a closed guard, preventing Hoover from standing up.
Fuzz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fuzz is looking to stand up but Hoover isn't so interested in that idea.

Fuzz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hoover can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fuzz is working an open guard so Hoover takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Fuzz clinches with his opponent.

Fuzz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hoover is trying to keep an underhook but Fuzz manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Hoover is looking to escape.
Hoover holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Hoover is trying to control but can't.
Hoover gets full guard.
Hoover really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hoover looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hoover manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fuzz gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Fuzz looks winded!

Fuzz tries to stand and escape but Hoover is controlling the position.
Hoover desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Fuzz stalling.
Hoover is looking for a sweep. Fuzz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hoover kicks Fuzz off and gets back to his feet.

Fuzz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hoover looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fuzz wants to control but Hoover is keeping him busy.
Fuzz tries to move to mount but Hoover blocks the move with his legs.
Hoover sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Hoover looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Hoover has one foot on Fuzz's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Hoover misses the shot to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hoover throws a looping overhand right but Fuzz ducks down to avoid it.

Fuzz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hoover kicks Fuzz off and gets back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hoover looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hoover doesn't manage to clinch there - Fuzz circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Stan Fuzz will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hoover throws a sloppy head kick and Fuzz moves out of range easily.

Fuzz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hoover manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Hoover wants to stand but Fuzz has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Hoover thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hoover scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Hoover looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fuzz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wally Hoover overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hoover stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Fuzz to get to his feet.
Fuzz is breathing heavily.
Hoover lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fuzz circles away quickly and effectively.
Hoover misses with a straight right.
Hoover has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Fuzz darts in and clinches Hoover up against the cage.

Fuzz gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hoover regains guard.
Fuzz wants to stand but Hoover is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hoover pulls Fuzz in close to prevent any damage.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hoover is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hoover lands with a punch from half guard.
Hoover scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Hoover working over Fuzz with some ground and pound. Fuzz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Hoover postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Fuzz to stand up.
Hoover lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fuzz moves out of range of the body kick.
Hoover throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fuzz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hoover misses with a two punch combination.
Hoover looks to land a right hand but Fuzz moved out of range.
Hoover takes a swing at Fuzz's ribcage but misses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fuzz, right into the meat.
Stan Fuzz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hoover pulls out of a head kick attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hoover tries a head kick but it misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoover enables Fuzz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoover manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hoover has his feet on Fuzz's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wally Hoover dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Hoover throws a series of punches but Fuzz avoids them all with ease.

Fuzz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hoover's half guard.
Hoover avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fuzz.
Hoover pushes Fuzz off looking to stand but Fuzz dives back in and keeps control.
Fuzz is stalling here. Hoover is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Fuzz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hoover has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Hoover decides to stand back up.

Fuzz feints and as Hoover raises his hands in defense, Fuzz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fuzz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoover. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fuzz won't allow Hoover to get back to his feet.

Hoover scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Fuzz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hoover is pushing Fuzz's head away, looking to escape. Fuzz manages to hold on to the position though.
Fuzz wants to control for a moment but Hoover uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Fuzz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fuzz wants to work for an arm triangle but Hoover is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hoover manages to get to full guard.

Hoover uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Fuzz slips a jab and a cross from Hoover.

Fuzz moves into the clinch successfully.
Fuzz taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Hoover is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Fuzz is defending well.

Fuzz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fuzz avoids a punch combination nicely.

Fuzz rushes Hoover and presses him up against the cage.

Fuzz lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Fuzz manages to pull guard.

Hoover is in close to Fuzz's body, working some short punches and elbows.

And that's the end of the fight!
Stan Fuzz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fuzz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
