Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kickin Rad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Varg Veide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rad's entrance music is Kids Of The K-Hole. A fine choice. Veide is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rad throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Veide looks to throw the jab but Rad is out of range.
Rad throws a low kick but Veide moves out of range easily.
Good work by Veide as he checks the leg kick.
Veide throws a lazy uppercut

and Rad counters by moving into the clinch.
Rad connects with a nasty looking knee right to Veide's face.

It looks like Varg Veide has been cut.
Veide is pressed up against the cage. Rad has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Veide down to the mat. Veide avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Veide dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Veide uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rad has time to react.
Rad looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Rad feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Veides jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Varg Veide seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Veide cracks Rad with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rad looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Veide finish him?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rad fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Veide.
Veide throws a low kick but Rad avoids it.

Veide tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rad wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Veide pushes Rad away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rad gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Rad throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Rad misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Rad sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Veide is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Rad is nestled in close to Veide, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rad seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rad throws a strike but Veide rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Veide can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rad controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kickin Rad wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Veide misses the shot to the body.

Rad shoots in for a takedown but Veide shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Veide throws a right and a left that Rad avoids nicely.
Rad paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rad tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Veide is able to avoid easily.
Rad takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Veide lands a big uppercut and Rad crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rad looks OK. Veide waves Rad back to his feet!
Oh Rad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rad leaves his chin hanging out and Veide seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Rad crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
