Ben Faur has chosen remember the name as his entrance music. Jean Ben Faur is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Ben Faur!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peter closes the distance and clinches.
Peter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ben Faur fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dave Peter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peter is doing well to control the position and prevent Ben Faur from advancing to side control.
Peter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ben Faur's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ben Faur's back!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ben Faur is in a bad position with Peter working for a choke. Ben Faur manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Peter is pressed up against the cage. Ben Faur has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Peter down to the mat. Peter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Peter throws a series of punches but Ben Faur avoids them all with ease.
Ben Faur goes for a double leg but Peter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Peter continues to drive forward.
Dave Peter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Ben Faur.

Peter pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ben Faur back to the cage. Peter follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Ben Faur shoots in looking for a takedown. Peter tries to sprawl out of it but Ben Faur keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Peter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Peter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ben Faur is trying to defend but Peter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Peter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Peter dives in and grabs Ben Faur's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ben Faur pushes down on Peter's head and hops out.
Peter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Ben Faur counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Peter wants to clinch up but Ben Faur keeps it at a distance.

Peter throws a nice looking combination but Ben Faur bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ben Faur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Peter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dave Peter.
