Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deucheon Mandick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eun Kyun Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Deucheon Mandick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eun Kyun Kim!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandick swinging wilding here.
Kim is looking to clinch but Mandick is avoiding it.
Kim takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Kim counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mandick is lucky that one didn't land flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kim stuffs the takedown.
Mandick throws a series of punches but Kim avoids them all with ease.

Kim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mandick swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kim scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Mandick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mandick trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mandick has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kim is proving hard to escape from.

Kim wants to get back to his feet but Mandick is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mandick trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kim pulls Mandick in close to his closed guard and prevents Mandick from doing any damage or advancing position.

Mandick is breathing heavily.
Kim is trying to control the position but Mandick postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mandick takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Mandick scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mandick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kim keeps working.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mandick in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Deucheon Mandick will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mandick wants to control the pace but Kim is squirming around nicely.
Kim slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Mandick wants to stand but Kim has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mandick looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Mandick trying to control from half guard but Kim is working away.
Kim is trying to stand.
Mandick wants to take a breather but Kim is having none of it.
Kim is looking to control Mandick's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kim avoid being mounted?
Kim is staying active underneath Mandick, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mandick is stalling here. Kim is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mandick seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kim has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Mandick moves out of range easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mandick misses with a combination
and Kim counters with a big head kick but Mandick shrugs it off.
Kim fails with the takedown
and Mandick counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mandick misses with a hook.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kim takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Deucheon Mandick will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kim moves forwards but Mandick connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kim lands a head kick!
Mandick fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kim scores with a kick to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mandick misses with a hook to the body
and Kim counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mandick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nice takedown defense from Kim. No joy for Mandick on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deucheon Mandick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kim shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mandick as he avoids it easily.

Kim misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kim tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mandick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mandick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Deucheon Mandick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Kim counters with a head kick. That will keep Mandick thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Mandick feints and as Kim raises his hands in defense, Mandick changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Deucheon Mandick is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mandick wanted to stand there but Kim had control of the position.
Kim is looking to stand up but Mandick isn't so interested in that idea.
Kim keeping moving, preventing Mandick from controlling successfully.
Kim can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mandick controls the pace.
Eun Kyun Kim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Mandick moves out of range easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Eun Kyun Kim.
I think Mandick has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
