Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clemens Schnur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karel Pitak! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schnur goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pitak smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Schnur fails in his attempt to clinch. Schnur shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pitak sprawls well. Pitak wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schnur gets slowly back to his feet. Schnur ducks under a wild hook from Pitak. Pitak throws a shot to the body.
Pitak swats away the attempt to clinch by Schnur. Schnur tries to clinch up but Pitak circles away and keeps his distance. Pitak lands with a hook. Schnur tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Pitak scores with a jab. Schnur acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Schnur is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Schnur moves out of range of the strikes. Pitak displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schnur. Karel Pitak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schnur takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pitak misses with an uppercut. Schnur saw that one coming. Schnur closes the distance and clinches up with Pitak, looking for a takedown. Schnur pushes Pitak against the cage but Pitak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clemens Schnur. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pitak connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Pitak misses with a looping left. Pitak throws an overhand right that lands on Schnur's shoulder, as Schnur tries to avoid the shot. Schnur takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Schnur ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Schnur clobbers Pitak with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. The fighters circling - Pitak throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pitak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schnur. A shot to the liver by Pitak. Beautiful body shot. Good exchange - Pitak coming out on top. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Schnur. Pitak might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Schnur is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pitak lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pitak throws a one two combo.
Pitak has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Pitak lands a slapping body shot.

Schnur ducks right into an uppercut from Pitak. Schnur fails to land with a series of punches.

Pitak defending well as Schnur loads up on a big left hand. Pitak lands with a good body shot. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Schnur. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Some wild striking there from Pitak.
Pitak lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Schnur takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Pitak connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Schnur is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pitak cracks Schnur with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Oh Schnur is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Schnur takes one to the side of the head.
Pitak thuds a left hand into Schnur's body. Schnur gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Pitak gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karel Pitak!
