Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlin Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Uzbaijzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlin Hicks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Timur Uzbaijzky! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hicks's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Uzbaijzky connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hicks scrambles back to his feet. A solid leg kick lands there for Uzbaijzky.
Hicks gets a takedown into half guard. Hicks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hicks not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Uzbaijzky wants to get back to his feet. Uzbaijzky manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Hicks keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Uzbaijzky stops a takedown attempt from Hicks.
Hicks has Uzbaijzky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Uzbaijzky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Uzbaijzky effectively controlling the action here. Uzbaijzky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hicks throws a strike but Uzbaijzky avoids it easily and moves to full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Uzbaijzky is on top in guard.

Hicks is working an open guard so Uzbaijzky takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Uzbaijzky lands a jab-cross combination. Hicks lands a nice hook to Uzbaijzky's body. Hicks fails with the takedown enabling Uzbaijzky to counter with a crisp jab. Uzbaijzky throws a nice outside leg kick. Uzbaijzky lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hicks's sensitive parts. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hicks is defended easily by Uzbaijzky. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hicks takes a body punch but keeps moving. Uzbaijzky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Uzbaijzky wants it to stay on the feet. Uzbaijzky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hicks defends it nicely. Uzbaijzky is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Uzbaijzky works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Hicks dives in and grabs Uzbaijzky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Uzbaijzky pushes down on Hicks's head and hops out. Timur Uzbaijzky is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Carlin Hicks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Uzbaijzky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hicks circles away quickly and effectively. Uzbaijzky darts in and clinches Hicks up against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Timur Uzbaijzky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Uzbaijzky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
