Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Twain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Welback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danny Welback has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Twain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Danny Welback! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Welback has his takedown stuffed and Twain counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Twain throws a body punch but Welback moves out of range. Welback keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Twain fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Welback to the ground. Twain is now in Welback's guard. Twain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Twain throws a strike but Welback rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Twain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Welback on the ground. Welback looking to sit in guard and control but Twain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Twain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Twain's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Welback is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Twain wants to control from the top but Welback keeps moving. Twain with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Twain throwing strikes from guard but Welback blocks nicely. Welback has his foot on Twain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Twain works his way back into a safe position though. Twain sitting in guard, not really doing much. Twain wants to pass the guard but Welback is keeping the position. Welback escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Twain gives him a little smile and shakes his head. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Twain landing some decent shots from guard. Twain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Twain trying to control but Welback is working from the bottom. Twain postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Twain wants to control from the top but Welback keeps moving. Twain landing some decent shots from guard. Welback has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Twain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Twain slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Twain with a nice head shot there. Twain wants to stand but Welback is controlling his posture from full guard. Twain with a nice head shot there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Welback tries to land a sweep but no joy. Welback working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Twain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Twain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Danny Welback will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Twain is aware though and is defending well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Welback's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Welback is looking for a sweep. Twain throws an elbow but Welback slips to the side and avoids it well. Twain is looking to take a break and control but Welback is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Welback tries to bench press Twain off him but Twain keeps the position. Twain works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Welback tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Welback is trying to control Twain's posture but Twain avoids it. Twain lands a few punches from side control. Welback is trying to control Twain's posture but Twain avoids it. Twain just content to control the position. You can see the frustration on Welback's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Welback manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Welback is just content to waste time from the top position. Twain takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Twain wants to stand and escape but Welback is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Welback showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Twain keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Welback fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Twain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Welback gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Welback working for a triangle but Twain defends it easily.
