Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elias Robles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Walpole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott Walpole will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elias Robles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Walpole!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walpole changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Robles tries to avoid it but Walpole manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Robles to the ground. Robles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walpole fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Robles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Elias Robles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Walpole.

Robles scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Robles is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walpole is just riding it out for now. Robles eventually gives up the hold.

Walpole has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Robles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Robles stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Robles wants it to stay on the feet.

Robles fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walpole avoids it really well and circles away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Walpole or perhaps it was just good defense by Robles, which made it look bad.

Walpole darts in looking for a takedown but Robles gets double underhooks and turns Walpole into the cage.

Robles has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Walpole clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Robles has the hooks in. Walpole is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

and Walpole counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Robles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walpole pinned against the cage. Walpole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Walpole tries to clinch but Robles is having none of it.

Robles throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Walpole escapes and throws Robles's legs to the side, diving into side control!

I think Walpole has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
