The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kryptonite gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bane manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kryptonite's best efforts.
Bane gets full guard.
Kryptonite wanted to stand there but Bane had control of the position.
Kryptonite trying to control the position from guard on top but Bane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kryptonite pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bane is keeping the position for now.
Bane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kryptonite. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kryptonite has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bane is proving hard to escape from.
Kryptonite in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kryptonite controls from within his opponent's guard.

Kalyx Kryptonite has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bane sizes up Kryptonite with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bane thuds a left hand into Kryptonite's body.

Bane scores with a nice right hand.
Bane scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kryptonite in his tracks.

Billy Bane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bane connects with a looping right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bane, as that shot connected.
A right-left combo lands from Bane.
Bane connects with a crisp jab.

Kryptonite is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kryptonite drops his hands momentarily. Bane doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kryptonite staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kryptonite doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Billy Bane!
