Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jean-Louis Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Suez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jean-Louis Andre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Suez! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Suez. Andre tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Suez was well out of range. Poor timing from Andre. Some bone on bone action there as Andre checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Andre fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Suez shoots in and gets a takedown into Andre's guard. Andre trying to strike off his back.
Suez trying to control the position from guard on top but Andre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suez wants to pass the guard but Andre is keeping the position. Andre looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Suez postures up.
Andre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Suez defends it easily. Suez throws a strike but Andre rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suez pulls Andre in close to his closed guard and prevents Andre from doing any damage or advancing position. Suez trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Andre looking to sit in guard and control but Suez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suez throws a big elbow that misses. Andre wants to hit a switch here but Suez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Andre there! Andre is looking to improve his position but Suez isn't that keen on the idea. Suez trying to control but Andre is having none of it. Suez prevents Andre from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andre blocking the ground and pound. Andre tries to get back to half guard but can't. Suez manages to capitalize on a mistake by Andre to take his back! Suez wants to control but Andre is keeping busy. Suez patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Suez working for a choke but Andre is defending well. Suez has the hooks in. Andre is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Suez has Andre flattened out and is raining down punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy Andre right now.
Suez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Andre has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Suez controls the action. Suez not allowing Andre to control his hands. Our spies down at at Stark Slugger Society - NY inform us that Suez has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Andre is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Andre won't enjoy being in this position. Suez looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Andre is tapping - it's over boys! Suez picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rafael Suez! A relieved looking Rafael Suez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
