Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Roy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mick Drury!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy tries for a takedown but Drury sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Drury shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Roy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Drury.
Roy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Roy looking for a guillotine here but Drury defends easily.
Drury passes into half guard.
Roy tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Drury thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Roy's head.
Roy wants to get back to full guard but Drury has mounted him!
Drury breaks from Roy's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Drury cracks Roy with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mick Drury!
