Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Fayth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bregan Union (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fayth kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Awry Decade - Aisle of Denial. Bregan Union has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Fayth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bregan Union! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Union throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fayth counters with a shoot takedown. Union fights it but they end up in guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Fayth's corner is telling him to maintain position. Union is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Fayth sitting in guard, not really doing much. Fayth stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Union swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fayth is working hard here to advance position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Union throws a poor cross that misses
and Fayth counters with a nice double leg into side control. Union won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fayth tries to advance to mount but Union instead regains half guard. Fayth wants to free his trapped foot but Union is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fayth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fayth is trying to work for a kimura but Union is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Union won't allow Fayth to pass to mount. Fayth is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Union is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fayth raining down hammerfists from mount. Union is looking to improve his position but Fayth isn't that keen on the idea. Fayth has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Union's face.
Union has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. A nice elbow there by Fayth. Union is trying to stand up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fayth lands a big shot there that rocks Union but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Union is in all sorts of trouble here.
Union taking shots to the head. Fayth jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Union manages to avoid the submission attempt. Fayth connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Union some visible discomfort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fayth trying to control the action but Union is working from the bottom. Union tries to bench press Fayth off him but Fayth keeps the position. Fayth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Union knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've been hearing that Fayth has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Union is looking to reverse the position. Fayth tries to move into full mount but can't pass Union's legs. Union is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fayth off and has taken his back! Fayth is trying to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Union trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Fayth doesn't escape. Union trying to control. Fayth can't escape the position.
Fayth manages to reverse the position and now he's in Union's guard. Nice work there by Fayth.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fayth trying to control the position from guard on top but Union is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fayth pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Union is keeping the position for now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fayth looking to pass the guard. Union can't keep his opponent in guard - Fayth advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Fayth is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Union controlling the position well. Union blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fayth. Union is trying to stand back up but Fayth is controlling him
Fayth looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Union is looking to control Fayth's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Union avoid being mounted? Union makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Union throws out a loose jab but Fayth uses good head movement to avoid it. Fayth keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Fayth counters with a single leg into guard. Union didn't expect that. Fayth wants to control from the top but Union keeps moving. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Union keeping full guard, as Fayth tries to pass. Fayth advances position into side control! Union is trying to get back to half guard. Fayth landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Union can't do much from the bottom here. Ray Fayth overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Union tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fayth wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Union gets back to half guard. Fayth lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Union is trying to stand up here but Fayth is controlling him well. Fayth is looking to take a break and control but Union is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fayth wants to pass the guard but Union is defending well. Fayth seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Fayth tries to pass to full mount but Union defends it. Fayth thows a huge punch but Union dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fayth is trying to control. Union wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fayth moves into full mount! Union won't be happy about that! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fayth slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Union tries to get back to half guard but can't. Union struggling a bit here. Fayth landing a few strikes. Ray Fayth is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Union stops Fayth from passing to mount.

Fayth wants to control but Union is keeping him busy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Union wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
And that's the end of the fight! Ray Fayth showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fayth, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
