Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Mangano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boon's choice of entrance music: Who are you? Come on, goodbye!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vincent Mangano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kirk Boon!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mangano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kirk Boon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boon goes for a double leg but Mangano avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mangano continues to drive forward.

Boon gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Boon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mangano dives on top into guard.
Mangano tries to free his leg and advance position but Boon is retaining full guard.

Mangano avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mangano really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mangano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mangano has managed to get both his arms back between Boon's legs - danger averted.

Boon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mangano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boon wants to sweep but no luck.

Boon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mangano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mangano is stalling in the full guard.

Mangano avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Boon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mangano defends it easily.

Boon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mangano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boon wants to improve his position but Mangano is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mangano in particular looking to stall.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mangano pulls his head out easily.

Boon is not content to let Mangano control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mangano in particular looking to stall.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirk Boon dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mangano looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boon.
Mangano scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boon in his tracks.
Mangano keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vincent Mangano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kirk Boon.

Boon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mangano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boon somewhat.
Mangano lands with a nice body punch.
Boon is breathing heavily.
Boon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mangano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boon.
Boon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mangano but Mangano pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Boon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mangano.

Boon is still on wobbly legs! Can Mangano finish him?

Mangano lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Boon is looking to close the distance but Mangano sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Boon crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Boon is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
