Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Zanico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rafael Zanico! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker shoots in and gets a takedown into Zanico's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Zanico trying to control the position.
Zanico looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Parker with a flurry of punches that miss. Parker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Zanico throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Parker misses with an elbow over the top. A quick uppercut on the inside from Parker. Zanico jumps guard but Parker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Parker is pushing Zanico up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Zanico misses with a short punch on the inside. Parker blocking some punches.
Parker gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zanico is trying to force a seperation but Parker has the dominant position. Zanico can't get the takedown.

Parker lands a hook that snaps the head of Zanico backwards. Zanico jumps guard but Parker stands there with Zanico around his waist. Zanico gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Zanico tries to circle away but Parker has him pinned against the cage. Zanico is trying to pull guard but Parker has him pressed against the cage. Parker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zanico shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Parker sprawls well. Parker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zanico gets slowly back to his feet. Parker gets the takedown into side control. Parker in side control, throwing shots but Zanico defends.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zanico is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Parker off and has taken his back! Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zanico on the ground. Parker looking very determined here, making life difficult for Zanico.
Zanico has the hooks in. Parker is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Zanico tries to get the hooks in deep but Parker pushed the leg off. Zanico connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Parker to escape the position.
Zanico has managed to slip his arm under Parker's chin. This could be all over... yep, Parker is tapping out! Submission win for Zanico.
