Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tren Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tren Brooks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dennis Landry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tren Brooks! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Landry defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brooks. Landry tries to clinch up and Brooks counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Landry! Brooks is looking to take a break and control but Landry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Landry is trying to escape the position but Brooks is controlling the position. Landry striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brooks in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks controlling from side mount. Landry is looking to regain half guard here but Brooks keeps moving and retains side control. Landry misses with a strike from the bottom. Brooks with the ground and pound but Landry regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Landry is not content to let Brooks control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tren Brooks. Brooks shoots for a takedown but Landry saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brooks looks to clinch and Landry counters with a lovely shot to the body. Brooks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Landry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Brooks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Landry, who protects the arm well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brooks tries to move into full mount but can't pass Landry's legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Landry tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brooks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Brooks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brooks wants to take a breather but Landry manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Brooks. Brooks forces his way into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brooks is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brooks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Landry's head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Brooks is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brooks is pressing down on Landry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Landry is holding on for now. Brooks blocks the strikes from Landry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tren Brooks dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Landry tries to close the distance and clinch but Brooks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Landry leaves Brooks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brooks darts in and clinches Landry up against the cage. Brooks breaks the clinch.
Landry swats away the attempt to clinch by Brooks. Brooks closes the distance and clinches up with Landry, looking for a takedown. Brooks pushes Landry against the cage but Landry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Landry moves into the clinch. Landry working aggressively here.
Brooks is looking to take this one to the mat. Dennis Landry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tren Brooks. Brooks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Brooks. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Brooks looks to score with a jab to the body but Landry is just out of range.

Brooks tries to land knees in the clinch but Landry avoids the damage to the body.

Landry is fighting it off but Brooks persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Landry's guard against the cage. Brooks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Brooks keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Landry's head. Landry can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brooks controls the pace. Landry throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Brooks works a leg free and moves into half guard. Brooks is looking to take a break and control but Landry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Brooks wants to take a breather but Landry is having none of it. Landry looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Brooks is just content to waste time from the top position. Landry takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Landry trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tren Brooks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Landry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brooks tries to clinch up but Landry circles away and keeps his distance. Brooks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Brooks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Landry paws at him with a jab and circles away. Brooks circles away from the clinch attempt and Brooks counters with a series of strikes. Landry will be more careful next time no doubt. Landry takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Landry checks a low kick from Brooks. Brooks tries to score a power double leg takedown but Landry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brooks somewhat.

Brooks has his takedown stuffed and Landry holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Landry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brooks avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Brooks jumps guard but Landry turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Brooks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tren Brooks has got the better of the ground game so far. Landry stops Brooks from getting back to his feet.

Brooks wants to get back to full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brooks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brooks. Brooks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Landry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Landry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! Tren Brooks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Brooks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
