The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dispon feints and as Swanson raises his hands in defense, Dispon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Swanson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dispon defends it easily.

Dispon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dispon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Dispon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Dispon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Dispon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Swanson is trying to defend but Dispon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dispon jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Swanson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Dispon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Swanson to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dispon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Swanson sprawls well initially but Dispon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dispon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Swanson's guard.

Dispon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swanson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dispon has managed to get both his arms back between Swanson's legs - danger averted.

Dispon connects with a superb combination that knocks Swanson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Dispon before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Swanson!
